Making a Difference with Every Step

In 2023, Manitobah achieved B Corporation™ (B Corp™) certification, proudly becoming a member of the growing community of for-profit companies dedicated to harnessing the power of business as a force for positive change. As a certified B Corp, we leverage our business for the greater good, promoting social, environmental, and economic well-being. By supporting B Corps, you take part in a global initiative to do business in a better way.

Certified B Corps are businesses that adhere to the most rigorous criteria of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability, all while striving to strike a balance between profit and purpose. B Corps are at the forefront of a worldwide movement, driving a paradigm shift that redefines the notion of success in business and champions the creation of a more inclusive and sustainable economy. Manitobah proudly joins a community comprising over 7,400 businesses spanning 161 industries across 92 countries.

B Corp certification comprehensively assesses all aspects of a company's operations through a rigorous certification process, encompassing five key impact areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. The certification process is both demanding and thorough, with applicants required to achieve a benchmark score exceeding 80. This entails providing evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices, encompassing areas such as energy sources, waste and water management, worker compensation, diversity, and corporate transparency.

Our decision to attain B Corp certification signifies our unwavering commitment to a holistic business philosophy—one that seeks to achieve a harmonious balance between profit and purpose. We are firmly dedicated to building a thriving global brand that not only succeeds in the marketplace but also generates meaningful and positive impacts within Indigenous communities.

"Manitobah is committed to transparency, engagement, and consistent communication of our impact mission – achieving B-Corp certification has always been a goal for our brand. We know there is always more work to be done and we are committed to set ambitious goals for ourselves while standing true to our core values and continuing our partnerships that reflect our social mission."
